Hi. Hello.

Having been exposed to crimes of literature at an ungodly age, my posts can get voluminous. Excessive passages and multiple graphics are usually lj-cut, but do watch out if you're averse to a couple of paragraphs and title plates. I may not post for ridiculous tracts of time - if so, feel free to assume I'm dead. If I do pop up again...well, everybody loves a miracle! 8D

I have been in college [mostly studying literature] for the past seven years, and if I'm lucky will remain there for the next few more. My areas of faux-specialisation are xenophobia in popular culture, metafiction, text analysis, and fudging. During school semesters, I work like a dog and tend towards inexistence. I've been living the swinging bachelor life with my younger sibling stereophilic, whom I would cut hearts out for, and our cat Aziraphale since '02, when the mom died and the dad split. At the time it left me a cynical bastard desperately raising an even more cynical bastard, but in retrospect it was the best thing to ever happen to us, because he still visits and pays the bills, and it allows us to play Rock Band at 4am. Just putting it out there, because every now and then the cynical bastard still rises and emos over the dead mom - sorry about that.

While I was inducted into the graphite by way of anime manga, my roots and tastes were and have eventually drifted increasingly into a more Western comics/animation milieu. Due to my academic specialisation, I have a critical interest in comics and cartoons [haaaahahahah]. I like to think that my style leans to streamlined comic with properly Asian remnants of manga…but everybody just looks at it and goes 'oh, you draw manga :D' anyway.

Due to a misplaced adoration for fast cars, F1 was our sport of choice from a time that land forgot. We were spoilt growing up by the Schumi reign, and retreated brokenhearted with Nando's coming. When Singapore finally got into the act, we could not help but be drawn back like suicidal moths. Now that Schumi is gone, despite my hitherto undying venomous hatred for small cute blonds, I've become a compulsive Britney-stalker.

We are stupid gamers - stupid in that we tend to suck at games but we keep wanting to throw money at them anyway. There are some games we just continually can't seem to live without, returning time after time like an obtuse bloodbank.

I used to play a Chinese Orchestral equivalent of bass...at 6. Ever since a traumatic separation from my zhong ran, I seem to have traded most musical know-how for other squandered talents...thus, I don't know much about music, but I do know what I like and I like it too much. My primary camp is the sweeping generalisation Alt/Indie, with a weakness for lo-fi. I'm also a sucker for dreampop and general twee, have a fascination with electronica and experimental, and an amused fondness for that adorably belligerent creature that could be termed scr/e/a/mo.
